By some miracle, I woke up for class today. I need to remind myself not to pull allnighters to finish research papers. I am just not as capable of an allnighter, like I used to be. With nearly five hours of sleep, and my first class of the day skipped - I wonder why I chose to take classes in the summer.
I've had a good couple of weeks, post Kyle. Usually I feel so down upon him leaving, and I worried that my misanthropic tendencies would take over once again. But I've been socializing quite a bit.
One of my favorite nights was spent by the river with Akili, Adriana and Akili's friend. We drank beer and ranted about everything that there was to rant about. Work situations have gotten us all into a bind, so it was easy to complain over a Fat Tire.
Akili is one of the best people I've met here. I will be sad to see him go, but Korea seems to be calling him. I will meet him again.
There is a boy in my intro to advertisement class that makes me squeal like a little girl. He is so charming, easy to talk to, CUTE, etc... We seem to be in the same boat for a lot of things, and I finally mustered up the courage to talk to him during our break. It ended with us laughing about our dorky affinity with Harry Potter and reminiscing about Andrew W.K.
If you know me, you know that I have "so many boyfriends." A phrase that was coined by my old coworker, Toree, and seems to fit me as well. Last night, while standing at my exit post at Skydeck - I noticed a cute boy in the gift shop. Upon exchanging blushing smiles, I finally started talking to him. He's Irish, and he leaves by the end of the summer. He lives in an apartment with 7 people (and it is a one bedroom). We all went out for pizza after work last night, after some lady got trapped in the elevator, a reality TV show pissed off several people because of their filming on the ledge and zero visibility. I, of course, shamelessly invited cute boy from gift shop. I'm going to ask him for his number by this weekend, I promise.
